GLOBAL STUDENT PSYCHOLOGY COMMITTEE
Fostering a profession of international psychology without borders
MISSION
To promote the sustainable development of psychology as a diverse science and global profession through cross-cultural collaborations, worldwide student networks, inclusivity, and the acceptance of all countries’ contributions as valuable to the field.
VISION
Our vision is to be an intercultural committee of students of diverse subfields of psychology from across the globe. As such, this committee will foster an international network of collaboration between national psychological associations and universities to which our student committee members belong. We aim to join forces and create an international psychology without borders.
STATEMENT OF INCLUSIVITY
The Global Student Psychology Committee seeks to be inclusive and respectful of all aspects of students’ identities such as culture, nationality, language, age, gender identity, race/ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and socio-economic status. The Global Student Psychology Committee also aims to include students from different backgrounds, research, and academic interests. The committee further aims to improve access to global psychological or therapeutic resources regardless of socio-economic status.
The GSPC [strives] to afford students the opportunity to share their research as well as personal, academic, and professional reflections, generate thought-provoking discussions, and further develop students’ cultural awareness and understanding of psychology on a global level.
